5/365: A Day For New Beginnings

I woke up at 3.30am (Australian time) to watch the inaugauration of Barack Obama. It really is an historic day. As I was awake so early I went down to Currumbin Beach to catch the sunrise. It was a little cloudy, but really beautiful. Hardly any one on the beach at that time, a perfect time for a little quiet reflection. It really makes you believe that you really can achieve anything if you put your mind and heart into it.

4/365: The chocolates are back!

Yum, the fundraising chocolates are back at work. Unfortunately I can't resist the mid afternoon pick me up. And today was definately a "I need chocolate day".
It seemed today that everyone at work was in the midst of a personal drama.

2/365: What is a ploughmans lunch?

Today was hubbys birthday, so being the Brit he is we met some friends at an English pub in the Gold Coast hinterland.

After lunches of beef and guiness pie and bangers and mash and a few pints of Kilkenny we made our way home

A Morning at The Dog Groomers For Pepper & Toby.

Toby is not looking too impressed in this photo. Not sure if it was the morning at the dog groomers or me trying to get him to sit still for 2 seconds.
Both him and Pepper looked gorgeous after they got home. (Although I took the bow out before I took him for his walk - poor boy could end up with a complex)

Starting my 365 tomorrow!

3rd attempt. Can you believe it! I really need to stick to it this time.
Photography is my new passion. I have the gear but now need to commit the time to becoming a great photographer. What better way than forcing myself to take a photo a day.
This will also be a great documentation of my year.
So I sit here with a wine in hand pledging to myself that I will follow through this time.
